According to VICOFA, as of the end of 2022, Viet Nam exported 1.4 million tonnes of coffee, worth more than US$3.2 billion, contributing to the total export turnover of the country''s agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.
The first Viet Nam Coffee Day will take place in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong’s Da Lat City on December 9-11, local authorities and the Viet Nam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) announced.
Members of the Viet Nam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa) have
agreed to petition the Government to scrap the 5 per cent value-added
tax imposed on coffee exporters for a year starting in November.
Domestic coffee businesses were preparing to report their bad debts to
the State Bank and related ministries by August 15, according to Nguyen
Viet Vinh, general secretary of the Viet Nam Coffee and Cocoa
Association (VICOFA).
Viet Nam is expected to produce a 25 per cent lower output of coffee
this year against a record output of 315,500 tonnes last year, according
to the Viet Nam Cocoa and Coffee Association (Vicofa).
